瓶身肩部饰缠枝莲纹，腹部饰青花“四爱图”，即王羲之爱兰，陶渊明爱菊，周敦颐爱莲，林和靖爱梅鹤；足部饰仰覆莲纹。三层纹样以卷草纹、锦带纹为界。白釉泛青，色彩青翠艳丽，是罕见的经科学发掘出土的元青花精品。

众所周知，湖北省博物馆的元青花四爱图梅瓶，是省博的镇馆四宝之一，2006年出土于钟祥市明代郢靖王墓，属于国家一级文物。

元青花，乃是稀世珍品。物以稀为贵，由于其原料高岭磁土已经开采殆尽，进口钴料苏麻离青自明宣德后便神秘消失，所以纵使当今科技如何发达也难以重现元青花的风采。现存于国内的完整器仅有100件左右，其中绘有人物及故事情节的更是凤毛麟角。因而，省博的这尊四爱图梅瓶，可谓是世所罕见。
