汝瓷位居宋代"汝、官、哥、钧、定"五大名窑之首
在中国陶瓷史上素额“纵有家财万贯，不如汝瓷一片。”可见弥足珍贵
莲瓣碗呈十瓣莲花形，似宋代常见的注碗形制，宋代南北方瓷窑均有烧造，为宋代常见器型，此碗造型比例适度，器身随花口亦呈十瓣，形似一朵盛开的花朵，凸凹与莲口相衔接，显得格外协调自然，美观大方。充分表现出莲花开放之势，青釉匀净之温润，颇具艺术风韵，集观赏与实用为一体，为仿汝窑代表作，收藏价值极高。
宋代宫廷用汝窑器物一般均采用满釉支烧，高濂的《遵生八笺》说汝窑"底有芝麻细小挣针"。为了避免窑炉内杂质的污染，需用匣钵装好，并将器物用垫圈和支钉垫起，防止与匣钵粘连。在器物底部可见细如芝麻状的支钉痕三、五、七个，痕迹很浅，大小如粟米。
